12 arrested in Sportsbetting Ring
12 men from New York have been arrested in a sports betting ring that prosecutors say took in more than $30 million in profit over the last five years.
On Monday morning Detectives made arrests as they raided the ring’s College Point “wire room.”
Both Stephen Rozich, 55, and Daniel Rozich, 52 were arrested at their homes and charged with conspiracy and promoting gambling. Prosecutors claimed that both were the ringleaders in betting on college and pro live football results.
The brothers and 10 people who worked for them all face up to 11/3 to 4 years in prison if they are convicted of first-degree promoting gambling and betting
